ShipBlink extends the option for you to set up your own shipping rates or charge live carrier fee from your customers — as they are placing an order on the checkout page, based on instantaneous temporal factors. This allows you to maintain complete transparency with your customers when it comes to shipping rates.

Customers have the power to choose between paying more for expedited shipping or lower for standard shipping. Additionally, you may also charge an additional fee (flat or percentage-based).
💡 Starting 1st January, 2023, Live Checkout Rates are available on selected Shopify Plans
To activate the Live Checkout Rates (third-party carrier-calculated shipping), your store needs to be on the Advanced Shopify or Plus plan. If you're on the Shopify plan, then you can add this feature for a monthly fee or switch from monthly to yearly billing. For more information, contact Shopify Support.
Without Shopify CCS, You can still use a ton of other ShipBlink features like Domestic & International Label, Manifest generation, etc.
Step 1: Enable Live Checkout Rates in ShipBlink
- Using the left side navigation menu, select Cart Rates > Live Checkout Rates
- Use the toggle in the upper right of Live Checkout Rates tile to turn on the feature.

Step 3: Entering your Product Dimensions on Shopify (Optional)
Skip this step if you want to opt for using a standard Length, Width, Height to rate against. See next step for details on setting up a standard fallback.
Shipping rates are based on product dimensions since that is how carriers determine what to charge. In order to leverage Live Rating, be sure that your Shopify products all have length, width, and height dimensions. Product dimensions can be managed here in your Shopify Admin console.
Step 4: Configure Checkout Settings on your ShipBlink dashboard
1. Choose a Box Allocation Method
2. Define the Fallback Shipping Rate to charge at checkout in the event a live rate can not be retrieved.
3. Define Fallback Package Dimensions to send to the carrier if any of your products are missing Length, Width, Height.
