In ShipBlink, you can generate labels for Orders in two ways -
Individual Order Shipments (aka Pick, Pack, Ship)
Recommended when —
- You want to manually edit customs declarations for an International Order
- You have a Multi-package shipment
- You want to ship partial items in the Order
Batch Order Shipments (aka Batches)
Recommended when —
-
- You ship tens or hundreds of packages every day and are looking for efficient shipping operations.
- You want to generate a single Manifest(Scan Form) for multiple shipments.
- You want a consolidated PDF of Labels & Packing Slips.
Caveats with Batch Order Shipments —
- For International Orders, manually editing customs declaration is not possible in Batch view. Just as a reminder, for International Orders, ShipBlink automatically syncs customs info from your Sales channels and sends it to Carriers. If the Sales Channel doesn't have Customs info, the system would show an error.
- If you want a Manifest, all Orders labels in the specific Batch should be created from the same Carrier (eg; if you ship SpeeDee & USPS, create two Batches ⇒ One for USPS Orders, and One for SpeeDee Orders)
Q: Can I generate Individual Order Shipments and then add them to a Batch?
- Yes! Once you generate Individual Order Shipments, visit the "Shipments" page, and select the Shipments you want a Batch to be created with. You can choose to either add such shipments to an existing Batch, or create a new Batch.
Once done, you can consolidate the shipping label with Packing Slip, and even generate a Manifest (Scan Form) for the Batch as usual.
Q: Can you reduce the Carrier Options you see in the Rate list?
- ShipBlink is a Multi-carrier shipping software by default. If you want to disable some carriers, or specific Carrier options (aka Shipping methods) - you can disable them here in ShipBlink (disable toggle the ”Show in ShipBlink“)
