🚨 Why do dimensional weights matter?
When purchasing a label, the rate you pay for that postage is dependent on details you provide like package weight, dimensions of the parcel, Mail Class etc. Many carriers, like USPS, validate that packages moving through their network match what was listed when the rate was quoted. If the carrier finds discrepancies, they will either credit or charge back the sender (in some cases even the recipient) the difference. For example, you may have paid $18 in shipping cost, however after USPS processes the package they find that the cost should have been $23. Your adjustment charge would then be $5.
With ShipBlink's powerful AI-based dimensional weight logic, E-commerce merchants are guaranteed to find the most accurate cost for a label and no unexpected fees coming from the carriers.Â

How does ShipBlink's logic work?
Items in an E-commerce product catalog are typically associated with their own length, width, and height. When an order comes in for multiple items, knowing the right packaging to use can save merchants hundreds.Â
ShipBlinks looks at each item in an order, and its dimensions to calculate how the order is to be packed and queries UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and 100+ Carers using the weight and dimensions of the box (or boxes) you will ship the order in. This allows merchants to quote accurate shipping charges, including negotiated rates if available.
ShipBlink automatically allocates the best available shipping boxes to use and how each of the items in an order should be placed in that box during the create label process. This ensures that your orders will always go out in the smallest box possible, saving you money on shipping and being kinder to the environment to boot.
