ShipBlink allows shipping rates to be configured and displayed on the WooCommerce checkout page. This can be done by setting up flat-rate shipping or enabling live carrier rate calculations to provide customers with accurate shipping costs at checkout. When customers place an order, they will see the shipping rates calculated within ShipBlink.
Example WooCommerce Checkout Page with Live FedEx Rates:
In this example, customers can choose between expedited or standard shipping rates.
Step 1: Install the WooCommerce Plugin
-
Once WooCommerce is connected to ShipBlink, ensure the ShipBlink plugin is activated in the WordPress Plugins section. (Download the plugin file here).
- Verify that the ShipBlink Plugin is configured in WooCommerce by navigating to Settings > the Shipping tab > ShipBlink. Be sure to save any changes!
💡 Ensure WooCommerce is properly installed and configured within WordPress. Afterward, connect the WooCommerce store to ShipBlink by installing the plugin.
Step 2: Enable Live Checkout Rates in ShipBlink
- From the ShipBlink left-hand navigation menu, select Cart Rates > Live Checkout Rates.
- Toggle the Live Checkout Rates feature to enable it.
Step 3: Enable Live Checkout Rates in WooCommerce Shipping Zones & Settings
💡 ShipBlink integrates with WooCommerce, allowing compatibility with existing WooCommerce Shipping Zones. Assign ShipBlink as a rate provider in any shipping zone.
- Navigate to WooCommerce > Shipping Settings > Shipping Zones.
- Under any shipping zone, click Edit.
-
Select Add shipping method.
- Choose ShipBlink as the shipping method and click Continue.
- Confirm the shipping options that ShipBlink should display at checkout.
💡 If any rates are missing, ensure the necessary Shipping Options are enabled in ShipBlink.
Step 4: Update Product Dimensions & Weights in WooCommerce (Optional)
This is an optional step. Shipping rates are often calculated based on product dimensions, as carriers use this information to determine shipping costs. To take full advantage of Live Rating, ensure that all WooCommerce products have accurate length, width, and height dimensions entered.
Step 5: Configure Checkout Settings in the ShipBlink Dashboard
- Choose a Box Allocation Method.
- Set the Fallback Shipping Rate for cases where a live rate cannot be retrieved.
- Enter Fallback Package Dimensions to send to the carrier if any product dimensions (length, width, height) are missing.
- (Optional) Enable Show ETAs at Checkout to provide customers with highly accurate, AI-powered delivery timelines, utilizing EasyPost's SmartRate API.
