Getting Started with DeviceBridge
DeviceBridge is a lightweight local application that connects ShipBlink to your hardware devices—such as printers and (soon) scales - enabling seamless integration and real-time functionality during your shipping workflow. ShipBlink partners with EasyPost Enterprise to bring Enterprise-grade technology to small and medium scale E-commerce businesses.

Step 1: Download DeviceBridge

DeviceBridge ZIP file password - request ShipBlink Support for password.
DeviceBridge currently supports Windows systems only.
If you want to see DeviceBridge on another OS (like MacOS) - do let us know!
Step 2: Install DeviceBridge

Download the installer from the link above.

Run the installer as an Administrator and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once installed, DeviceBridge will run as a background service on your computer.
- We recommend using DeviceBridge in "Run as Administrator" mode always.
🖨️ Printer Setup
DeviceBridge supports default printer connected to your Windows System.
⚠️ All printers (including USB) must be configured as system printers (default) in your operating system to work with DeviceBridge.
A. Setting Up System Printers

Ensure your printer is installed and available as a system printer.

In ShipBlink, go to Settings > Printing Setup.

Click Refresh Printers to detect available printers.

Choose your preferred printer from the dropdown.
⚡ Instant Print Feature
The Instant Print feature enables labels to print automatically after a shipment is created—no extra clicks needed.
🔄 Instant Print is currently optimized for Individual Shipment workflows. It is not fully supported for Batch processing at this time, but .
How to Enable Instant Print:

Go to ShipBlink Settings > Printing Setup.

Toggle Instant Print ON.

Select your default printer for instant label printing.
⚖️ Scale Integration (Coming Soon)
Scale integration is under development and will be released in a future version of DeviceBridge.

🛠️ Troubleshooting
DeviceBridge Not Connecting
If ShipBlink shows "DeviceBridge Not Connected":

Confirm DeviceBridge is running (look for its icon in the system tray).

Restart DeviceBridge manually.

Check that your firewall isn't blocking the service.

Try restarting your browser or your computer.
Printer Not Detected / Not Printing

Make sure the printer is powered on and connected.

Verify it is installed as a system printer.

Print a test page from your operating system to confirm it works.

Restart DeviceBridge and refresh the printer list in ShipBlink.
- Ensure Label files have PDF format.

🔐 Security & Privacy
DeviceBridge runs locally on your computer. It communicates with ShipBlink only through your browser. It only accesses hardware devices you authorize, and no data is transmitted externally except during print jobs or scale readings.
